Dell XPS 9000/435T can be upgraded to 6 or Hexa core processors.

Dell XPS 435MTs cannot be upgraded to 6 or Hexa core Xeon processors; however, you can upgrade to quad core Xeon processors, like the Xeon W3570, and W3580. The Bios for the XPS 435MT was wasn't updated to accept hexa core processors.

I tried to put a Xeon W3680 processor in a XPS 435MT and it will not work. If you do add this processor in that system, the power light will turn orange and not boot up.
