Carlo Rovelli is an Italian theoretical physicist who works mainly in the field of Quantum Gravity. Carlo's popular science book Seven Briefs Lessons on Physics has been translated into 41 languages and sold over one million copies. In 2019 he was named one of the 100 most influential thinkers by Foreign Policy magazine.
Professor of Theoretical Physics at the University of Surrey, Al-Khalili has received an OBE for his work as a science broadcaster and communicator.
Julian Barbour is an independent theoretical physicist working on new ways
of understanding relativity and the foundational issues of the universe. His books include The End of Time. He coined the radical of "time capsules which explain how the powerful impression of the passage of time can arise in a timeless world".
Lee Smolin is a theoretical physicist known for proposing a reconciliation between loop quantum gravity and string theory. He is author of The Trouble With Physics and Time Reborn.
Philosopher of science Eleanor Knox is Leverhulme Early Career Research Fellow at Kings College London. Her work focuses on philosophy of space time physics, explanation and intertheoretic relations.
Frank Wilczek is one of the world’s most eminent physicists working today. A Nobel Laureate, mathematician and scientist, he is the Herman Feshbach Professor of Physics at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He is also the author of numerous award-winning books, including A Beautiful Question: Finding Nature’s Deep Design (2016), The Lightness of Being (2010) and Longing for Harmonies (1988).
Tim Maudlin is professor of philosophy at New York University and a world-leader in the field of philosophy of physics. He is the author of the recently published Philosophy of Physics: Quantum Theory and made his name studying the mysterious behaviour of entangled quantum particles.
