In many cultures and in many times, women would not have sex with a man unless they were married to them. The world in the West is, for the great majority, a massively difference space but we still assume that sex and relationships go together. Yet the changing character of dating and the growth of hook up culture alongside studies that show sex declines in long term relationships suggest that we cannot not take the link for granted. Might we be headed towards a culture where relationships and sex are pursed independently?
