Lust for Darkness is a horror-adventure-sexploitation game that tries to use Lovecraftian elements (among others) to become great. It fails. On top of this, it attempts to be a dark, thought provoking story - and instead goes too far and shows no integrity.

There are many ways to approach a dark story; with a message, with commentary or with restraint. This game has none of these. Prepare for some pretty disturbing (and largely unearned) stuff.

Extra stuff for tech nerds like myself:

This game was a nightmare to record. On my first attempt I could perfectly record the game's audio, but if I began my recording on a level transition (which I often do) the video component became completely corrupted. This means I had to play through the game TWICE (once for notes & initial recording, again for non-corrupted stuff). Luckily the second playthrough only took me about 45 minutes - but it wasn't perfect. The video recorded fine, but this time there was NO AUDIO. I can't explain that even slightly. And when I say the video was fine, what I mean is: it existed. It had some odd frame skips which are noticeable in the final upload, but ultimately I had to settle for that rather than lose all of my progress. Moral of the story: this game is horrible on every level, including technical.
