You can see Wander has fully recovered on the left screen before he even starts to recover on the right screen.

This is done by wiggling the left stick or spamming buttons repeatedly. The buttons that seem to work are triangle, square, circle and cross (X).

If done correctly, Wander will be able to move before the colossus can attack again, therefore breaking the stunlock. I demonstrate this at the end.

This works the same in all versions of Shadow of the Colossus.
