For gear use the silver craftsman's clothes when semi-AFK processing to speed it up as well as Couscous food. At night use weight gear (3-set Hercules, Zereth chest, weight crystals in all but helm, a good belt) to increase the amount you can process.
Level to Artisan 2 or 3 using Cotton and Flax. Cotton can be sold afterwards, use Flax only if you can't get enough cotton or you want to build sailboats. Sute Tea will help provide more xp as you level as will the silver craftsman's clothes.
