The intro movie and first hub area of Gex: Deep Cover Gecko (aka Gex 3). Gex does some training in the Wreck Room and discovers a secret.
This is a 1999 3D platformer from Crystal Dynamics. Gex is on a mission to rescue Agent Xtra from the clutches of his arch nemesis Rez. Like the previous Gex games, he'll need to find remote collectibles in various TV themed levels. There are also paws, bonus coins and coinflys to find. This will be a 100% playthrough, so I'll be getting everything. It's my first time playing, so gameplay will be blind, though I had completed the first two Gex games before this.
This is the PAL version, which has a different voice actor for Gex (Danny John-Jules instead of Dana Gould) and localised one liners.
Due to a stupid mix-up by me, I played most of this with my drifting controller. For some reason I thought it was a janky camera and PS3 emulation causing the issue. It wasn't until I got to the gangster level, with a lot of first person aiming, that I realised it was the controller and switched to my good one. That made this already quite tough to 100% game even tougher, but I somehow got through it (my Sonic Adventure 2 playthrough was also done with that controller). Anyway, if you see me do something stupid that involves veering to the left, that's why.
