GG Shinobi Remake for Sega Megadrive/Genesis - Dev Diary No. 1
970This video details my attempt at creating a Megadrive/Genesis remake of the classic Game Gear title, GG Shinobi. This being my first proper coding project, a lot of mistakes were made, but I also learnt a great deal, and had a lot of fun in the process too! This is still an ongoing project, and I hope to update you all with a much improved version in the future.
It goes without saying that this is an unofficial fan-made game, done purely for non-commercial and educational purposes. All footage in the game is recorded via the Kega Fusion Megadrive/Genesis emulator. All code was written from scratch by myself, using SGDK.
At some point in 2022 I plan to create a series of tutorials detailing how to create your own Megadrive/Genesis games - I just need to get better at this myself before I feel confident enough to teach others :)
