11It's no spoiler, because if you've read one Tom Clancy novel, you've read 'em all. In this mission, first off, I have to save several members of a downed crew? I don't really know, I just blank out at the mission briefing screen because I've been spoiled by MGS4. Anyway, no spoiler, the crew that I've been sent into save, dies at the last moment. Funny, though, because at the point where they all die, I kill every enemy that's "supposedly" around their position. They say their last words of scripted dialogue, even though I'm looking at a dead body on the ground. And then the game goes into a soap opera performance for the next five minutes. In those five minutes, I have to wait for everybody to shut up so that the game can load the next wave of enemies for me to gun down without mercy. Otherwise, if I advance forward, even the slightest, the game will continue on it's linear path of destruction, drop enemies in at random spawn points, and an area that was once clear before, isn't anymore. I get shot in the back, and die as a result. Damn you Fallout 3 and New Vegas, you've spoiled me to what a sandbox type shooting gallery is, even with all the glitches you can throw at me from getting stuck after doing things the game doesn't want you to do.
