8MISSION 02: "EAGER SMOKE" Part 1
Ghost Recon remains my favorite Tactical Shooter ever. I've been playing it for 10 years and I still think its outstanding in the MILSIM realm. Alot of these GR elements inspire our missions at www.DCSWolfPack.org.
This is the original military hardcore simulation, before it turned into a something else. It is the basis for future MILSIMS like ARMA. Although it doesn't simulate bullet ballistics, and you cant repeal out of helos, its simplicity, ambient sounds like wind, crickets, water and absence of music make the game feel tense and realistic.
This is the start of a series covering missions in Ghost Recon using the Heros Unleashed MOD and Navy SEAL 2.1 MOD among others.
I am also using a program called Voice Attack which is only $8, that can use your voice to recognizes commands which then constitutes certain keystrokes. I started using Voice Attack mainly for flight simulators due to the multitude of controls, however its excellent for controlling AI teammates in GR.
