Ghostbusters: Afterlife is hitting theaters so I thought it would be a good time to reflect back on the chaotic sequel, Ghostbusters II. The whole ghost-busting team is back from the original and they are better than ever! The Ghostbusters sequel has gotten a lot of hate over the years, that includes when it first hit theaters as well. Many critics were not thrilled with the similar plotting the sequel carried and found it to be less scary overall. I disagree. I found Vigo the Destroyer to be a great villain for our heroes. Plus the slime plot made for a unique new story device to raise ghosts back from the dead. The comedy, visuals and iconic music are all here too with some great cameos. I get some of the issues with Ghostbusters II but I think the pros far outweigh the cons.
