Giga Wing - Capcom System 2 (Full Playthrough)
4Playing as Sinnosuke in the 1999 Capcom arcade game Giga Wing.The game hit arcades on Capcom's CPS2 board.
The game featured 4 playable characters, Sinnosuke (seen in the video), Stuck, Isha, and Ruby. Each have their own unique aircraft, with unique weapons to boot.
The story of the game begins with the fighters seeking to destroy a powerful medallion that is being used by an evil character known only as the "Stranger", in which you end up battling them multiple times throughout the course of the game.
Each character was equipped with a standard gunner, along with a limited set of bombs. There was also a force shield (aka Reflect Force), that could be enabled by holding down your fire button. The force shield only lasts for a few seconds before its drained, but it was able to deflect any in coming enemy fire.
The gunners shoot out in bursts, and players could pick up power-ups to increase their firing power, as well as additional bombs. When released, the bombs would discharge an electrical storm that would destroy everything in their path, with lightning bolts splitting across the screen.
In order to completely finish the game, players had to beat all 6 of the initial stages without losing more than a single life, otherwise they never advanced to stage 7, and the game ended with players character committing suicide with a Kamikaze attack, in which the medallion is destroyed, but the player dies as a result.
