Sengoku 3 - Hack 'N Slash Arcade Beat 'Em Up (Noise Factory/SNK)
The third installment in the Sengoku beat 'em up series, developed by Noise Factory and published by SNK to arcades in 2001. The game stayed tried and true to the series hack 'n slash theme, but with far more polished graphics, and better game play mechanics than its predecessors.
Here we played as the formidable Kagetsura in a full playthrough of the China stage. Kagetsura appeared to be the most balanced, and most agile of all the characters in Sengoku 3. While he was slower than some of the other characters, his sword had an incredible extended reach, giving him the ultimate advantage over others.
His special maneuver consists of him turning into a fixed log, followed by a multi-angle explosion that decimates enemies from all sides.
The game also has projectile attacks, such as throwing stars, bombs, etc. Many objects can be broken to reveal hidden power=ups placed through the game.
