The best part about this addon, is it seems compatible with most NPCs, even works with VJ, so long as their model is humanoid/human-like it should work. I haven't encountered any errors throughout recording this, other than the floating body in the video but I think that was just some whacky Gmod paranormal stuff lol. That wasn't scripted. IDK why that happened. Probably some bug, but I don't mind it fit right into the gmod aesthetic lol. Consider it a canon event.
I will warn you that if you plan to use stuff like some of the anime or more unusual models of humanoids, not all of them seem to use death animations. Some don't, and some do but it's wonky in regards to facial expression (normally they react with a shocked expression of horror or pain, but since they are not quite HL2 Citizens, these custom workshop models having different facial posing and wildly different settings causes some terrifying mutations to the face upon death).
Of course, so long as the death animation works without error (which it does), I think most people like myself are fine with it no matter how horrendous the faces amalgamate, if anything it fits the vibe. As for regular NPCs of more tactical gear sort for realism videos, I am 100% certain this is perfect for that. Not so much for more, anime styled characters. But I have to say, it's hilarious to see. But this was by far something I never knew I needed for NPC behavior, other than the other addon being Global Hearing, which just makes NPCs react to sounds/deaths and walk over to investigate. Which helps keeps the battles going instead of them just... not doing anything when their comrades died. If there is a route for them to take, they'll take it to investigate the disturbance. Over 100 different animations, from burning, explosives, gunshots, slashing/melee!
Some may say this could work better with gore/bleeding mods for more realism, and that sounds splendid. Of course I cannot do gore mods because of the amount of tech problems people seem to get with the mon lower end PCs. I kind of lag just by having too many NPCs fight so I don't know if my processors can handle those additional things to process.
