GNOME 43.2 has led to some improvements in touchscreen gestures which allow the user to manually invoke the screen keyboard using a touchscreen gesture.

Unfortunately there screen keyboard has lots of issues in commonly used Linux Applications.

Settings - Search works Okay except for Accents
GNOME Text Editor - Works Okay
Terminal - Works Okay (Difficult to type in a long number though)
Libre Office Writer - Works okay
Files - Search needs to be manually invoked and then works okay
Firefox - Works in Address Bar Only and not in Search Bar
Chromium and Chrome - Needs to manually be invoked. Text types does not display in the address bar or search bar. Backspace works though.

OnlyOffice Document - Needs to manually be invoked. Text types does not display in the address bar or search bar. Backspace works though.
VSCode - Needs to manually be invoked. Text types does not display in the address bar or search bar. Backspace works though.

Chromium, Chrome, VSCode and OnlyOffice Desktop Editors are Electron APplications.

Seems this is due to be fixed on the 4th of April 2023:
