In this video I look at the installation of Chrome OS Flex on a Dell XPS 13 9365 2 in 1 Touchscreen Device which has a Laptop, Tablet and Docked Mode. I configured the Dell UEFI BIOS Settings to use the AHCI SATA Operation, Secure Boot and enabled the required performance and virtualisation technologies required to run Chrome OS Flex.

This system has a high DPI touchscreen monitor and I test it on a docked multimonitor configuration using a Dell Thunderbolt WD19TB Dock with a standard DPI monitor. I also test it out the touchscreen using laptop and tablet mode. In tablet mode, the touchscreen and rotation sensor work fine with this operating system with the rotation sensor rotating the screen and touch input matrix when flipped to horizontal or vertical orientations. The touchscreen keyboard also works well with native apps. I also look at setting up a Linux Terminal which uses a Debian VM under the hood. I use this to install Only Office Desktop Editors and VSCode with .Deb packages. I install Python, IDLE, Spyder and Jupyter using Mambaforge and test these IDEs out. I also installed Flatpak and FlatHub using the Advanced Package Tool apt and useFlatHub to install GEdit and GIMP.

Unfortunately at this time of writing the touchscreen keyboard does not respond when pressing into a text input field using a Linux Application. This is something the development team are still working on.
