Two entrants raced to achieve a sub-20k Kerbal speed record. Ticalc or Kemp could have taken the crown, but in the end Ticalc got the victory.

The Great Kerbal Space Race is a community challenge to play a campaign of Kerbal Space Program 1.0 together. Each week I will set a challenge and players compete to finish the challenge first (by the game's clock). I will be awarding points to those who compete, those who are stylish, and those who are fastest!
~~This Week's Challenge~~
. Build a Single Stage to Orbit craft. It MUST be flying on jet engines sub-20k, and then you can kick the rockets on and zoom up to orbit. We're aiming to get the LARGEST spaceplanes known to Kerbalkind up into orbit - so a shot in the VAB or SPH show craft mass would be good, as would any shots or video of the trip up to orbit, along with a shot in orbit. Submit your entries on the forum thread.
