In certain conditions Kratos is able to hit the 2nd floor Hall of Hades intro cutscene at the same time he steps on the button that lifts up the Hades statue. I first found it by trying out different high jump tactics to the 2nd floor - sometimes Kratos accidentally hit the cutscene trigger but then landed on the button.

Fortunately there is an easy, controllable method to do this the trick as well: do a backwards roll and buffer a R1 to follow it. Kratos will hit the cutscene, then automatically rush forward to stand on the button.

So what's the use of this? Having these two cutscenes activate at the same time causes them to overlap. As the first, shorter cutscene ends, Kratos regains control early during the Hades statue cutscene! You might save something like 5 seconds doing this in a run.

You can also go check out the Hades statue while it is rising. The top doesn't have any collision and Kratos can enter inside the statue's head. Nothing useful, but at least it looks funny.

The delayed checkpoint creation also allows you to softlock the game if you go and foolishly examine some prompt at the same time the Hades statue cutscene ends.
