GOD OF WAR PART 5 [ Helping Souls, Freeing Dragons and Pissing Off Odin with Hammer Fall ]
5From the tranquility of Sanctuary Grove to the Lake of Nine and the Volunder Mines. I miss the Forest Lady already.

In this episode, we will start with dealing with the Soul Eater for the "Second Hand Soul" quest. Apparently, Kratos does not care about helping a blue Dwarf but would attack a Soul Eater just to teach Atreus a lesson. Thankfully we got out of it unscratched, thanks to the Give Me a Balanced Experience Difficulty and thanks to me slowly getting used to controls. We may not have found the Alchemist himself but we certainly did find his ring, which led us to our promised reward. NATURALLY. The Grip of Volunder was ours.
But discovering the Volunder mines was never our intention. We were actually trying to save the spirits with the "Unfinished Business" quest. So we quickly get to our Unfinished Business and go to help the fourth and last spirit at Cliffs of the Raven. Turns out, this location was also home to the treasure of Dead and Bloated.
Since I was on a streak with helping spirits, of course I couldn't pass the vengeful spirit who wanted us to destroy a small Thor statue- another way to piss off Odin I guess. And somehow we ended up in Veithurgard Pass. All I wanted was to find the treasure in Hunter's Kingdom, I never signed up for setting a giant Dragon free but here we are.
Meanwhile, I’m becoming increasingly obsessed with talking to the World Serpent. Turns out, they’re not exactly fans of Thor either, so I’m fully Team Jörmungandr now. Just need to find those Language Ciphers so we can have a proper chat.
Atreus is getting stronger by the minute, and if he keeps this up, I might actually consider bumping the difficulty back up. (Maybe.)
At the end, I think it is fair to say this was a pretty productive episode:
💀 "Unfinished Business" quest? Completed.
💰 Found the Dead and Bloated treasure? You bet.
⚡ Destroyed a Thor statue just to spite Odin? Of course.
🐉 Accidentally freed a GIANT DRAGON while looking for loot? …Yeah. That happened.
