Goku Black travels to a different timeline where he senses someone, he flies to see who it is when Black sees Ruby Rose for the first time; not quite the encounter you'd expect since the two start to fight only to have Black amused by Ruby's silver eyes ability which he invites her back to the cabin where he and Zamasu are staying at she agrees. They talk that night while Zamasu is a bit skeptical but allows Ruby to stay with them, the next day they fight Goku, Vegeta and Trunks which Ruby remembers the first time she got worried about Black losing to Vegeta using her silver eyes. As the fight continues Ruby starts to question Black's intentions; would he keep her alive or not? They both deny their feelings toward each other as Black fires his Black Kamehameha at her causing Ruby to go into the otherworld to find her answers. Time passes on as Ruby starts to discover her feelings in the meanwhile Black has traveled forward in time to the destroyed West City to fight off Bardock and Vegeta; the huntress finds herself as she touches her scythe that brings her back to the timeline where Black is in, he sees her shocked and overjoyed that she came back but the Chester Cat had other plans; so Black fights Bardock and Vegeta while Ruby fights the Chester Cat, in which they both succeed. They travel back in time once more as they start to open up and confess their feelings; only it takes them to the bedroom for them to become intimate with each other. The next morning they decide to find if anyone else had survived which they do as Black destroys them while Ruby fights off the rest only for the Zero Mortal Plan to succeed.
