GOLDEN AXE III (MEGADRIVE - FULL GAME + BAD ENDING & SUPER MAGIC)
38Zeus presents Golden Axe III for the Megadrive, a true classic from the golden era of arcade gaming which must not be forgotten alongside the programmers that were involved in making this game.
Year of release: 1993
Never released outside Japan, this second sequel as far as I'm concerned isn't that bad at all and certainly not bad enough to warrant a no-release outside Japan because it was considered a very poor game by certain parties.
Death Adder has once again risen and caused fear across the land, so it's down to you once again to eliminate him and gain the golden axe.
This is a much bigger game and along the way you can take different paths to determine your route, you can also double-up your magic with your partner to produce far more damage, there a four of these super magics, one for each character, they are a water dragon, a huge ball of fire, the grim reaper and a huge rock monster that slams his foot on the enemy but it will cost you far more of your potion pots compared to a normal full power potion cast (all 4 are shown at: 1:06:31).
There are many new enemies to fight against and two new characters you may choose from on the player select screen.
This is far harder to get the full ending as you must gain at least a level "B" fighting grade otherwise you will not face the harder Death Adder and thus will not gain the golden axe which will result in the bad ending (shown at: 1:05:12).
This is a far less disappointing sequel than the critics back in the day said it was and I feel it should have got a world release as there are far worse games out there that shouldn't have got a world release but still did.
I have used Action Replay codes to enable the high grade award so I could show you the full game and true ending for your viewing pleasure and as said I've also included the "bad" ending at the end of the video along with the super magic spells also at the end of the video.
