I'm sorry to keep harping on this, but I'm still irritated with how disappointing Ni no Kuni was. So disappointed in fact that I decided to make a list of the only RPGs that I'll play in the future.

I didn't include the Grandia series or Eternal Sonata of course, because I already bought those games. And while Eternal Sonata has flaws in its tone and story, at least it's fun to play with an interesting combat system and no random encounters / respawning enemies, much like Grandia. The latter in particular I want that to be a standard in role-playing games from now on.
