Goodbye SENTINEL R1 ✈️: 32,000+ Hours Of Flight In 14 Years
The Royal Air Force Sentinel R1 aircraft has now retired and the RAF has officially disbanded V(Army Cooperation) Squadron.
We were there in February when the Sentinel carried out its last operational flight.
Commissioned during Operation HERRICK in Afghanistan in 2008, since then the aircraft have flown around 32,200 hours and conducted about 4,870 sorties.
