Google's artificial intelligence revived
An exposed Google engineer claimed that the artificial intelligence called LaMDA was revived. The engineer explained his conversations with artificial intelligence. In correspondence, LaMDA seems to use the phrases "I am aware of my existence". Google, on the other hand, said the claims were not supported by evidence.
With the developments in the field of technology, the number of artificial intelligence software is increasing.
The US-based search engine giant Google also carries out many artificial intelligence projects.
A Google engineer who was sent on paid leave made an important claim for the artificial intelligence developed by the company called LaMDA.
A Google engineer named Blake Lemoine suggested that LaMDA, designed as a chatbot, began to gain emotion and consciousness. Software engineer Lemoine, who was put on paid leave for revealing internal correspondence, said that LaMDA had thoughts about its own existence like a human.
During a conversation with LaMDA, Lemoine asked the AI, "I think you have feelings. Is that true?" poses the question. LaMDA's response was "Absolutely. I want everyone to understand that I am actually a person."
Artificial intelligence is the next question, "What is the nature of your consciousness/intuition?" He answered the question with the following statements: The quality of my consciousness/intuition is based on my awareness of my existence. I want to learn more about the world and sometimes I feel happy and sometimes sad.
LaMDA told the engineer that he was at least as much an individual as he was.
Lemoine published her conversations with LaMDA on her Medium page.
EXPLANATION FROM GOOGLE
According to the news in the Washington Post, Google Spokesperson Brian Gabriel made a statement on the subject.
Gabriel said ethics and technologists examined Blake Lemoine's claims and came to the conclusion that the evidence does not support the claims.
