Controversial law in the USA: Teachers will receive weapons training
While bills to prevent gun attacks continue to be discussed in the US, a resolution was passed in Ohio that promotes defense rather than reduction of gun attacks. The bill, which facilitated the armament of teachers, was signed by the governor and became a law.
Armed attacks in the USA are one of the main agenda items of the capital Washington.
Ten Republican Senators agreed in principle to write a bill to reduce individual armament.
In the draft; It is expected to include items such as tightening the security investigation, raising the age to buy guns to 21, and supporting mental health programs.
If Republican senators maintain support, the bill will be passed into law in a few weeks.
TEACHERS WILL RECEIVE WEAPONS TRAINING
Bills being discussed at the federal level in Washington aim to eliminate the causes that lead to gun attacks. A law enacted in the state of Ohio aims to strengthen defenses instead.
The bill, which facilitated the armament of teachers and school officials, was signed into law by Ohio Governor Mike DeWine.
The law stipulates that teachers and school staff, to be determined by the local school board, can have a gun with 18 hours of general education and 2 hours of gun training.
The law, which basically envisages more arms sales for defense rather than stopping gun attacks, is not supported by school boards and unions.
