Really cool multi-stage space shooter, with a wide range of motion for your ship (fly anywhere within the bottom half of the screen), awesome voice samples (that love to taunt the player), and a cool firing system that allows you to cancel a missed shot with a new shot! Midway ripped off--rather blatantly-- Space Invaders and Galaxian for this game (certainly not their only moments of plagiarism) for 2 of the 5 stages, and the others involve 2 laser cannons and their cronies, a black hole or worm hole with circular-flying enemies emerging and for the last stage a flag ship that you must destroy with a shot down the middle. The sound effects are also top-notch, but those voice samples.. so cool! Another triumph for the Dave Nutting/Midway era, before Midway partnered with Marvin Glass & Associates for a good portion of the 1980s.
