Especially with that opener for our qualifier match. That's exactly how the newer games do it haha

I'm not sure if this is a Peta thing or a reference to those Yazata Haoma. Either way Genshin seems to double as a game about understanding and accepting each other. A little more of this and the world could be a better place so I applaud Mihoyo for going for it.

As for the characters themselves it feels like Layla's just in for the ride though maybe she'll have some insights towards the end. Yae's clearly got her own agenda but she also seems to be interested in this opportunity for growth. I'm still hoping to see a hint of her meeting with Nahida to further my old theory along.

I'd love for the cutscene at the end to be Souka essentially narrating what happens in this event so we can see cinematic versions of our battles. I'd imagine right after the cutscene finishes is when we should get that hint of Yae with Nahida. That should play off nicely to lead into v3.3 where Scara gets his redemption arc. (Btw still miffed about that because it's way too soon and now there's no consequences. For those following my reddit stuff a follower clued me in on Akunin Shouki which is a concept developed in Japan during Sengoku. It just means when you do bad stuff to survive - both physically and mentally - as long as you don't become bad you need to forgive yourself and move on. The thing about it though is Shouki means after death so the "death" is still required as consequences. You can't just slap a realization of wrongdoing and call it a day.)
