We talk about the projections by Tim Beiko via @SonofaTech that Ethereum 2.0 will make GPU mining obsolete by as soon as June 2022. What will be the effect on the GPU prices, the mining difficulty of Ethereum classic (ETC), Raven coin (RVN), Sero, and many other lower market cap coins. The difficulty bomb for Ethereum and the move to proof of stake from proof of work. Its a at least 30% profitability drop today if you cannot mine on ETH, but if 4 million GPUs move from ETH to other coins then the difficulty of mining those
