In this video, we'll take a look at the real-life racing cars that inspired the racing modifications in Gran Turismo. Yes that's right, a lot of the game's original creations aren't original after all. What Gran Turismo 2's game designers likely did was change the real-life cars to avoid having to pay to licence them, and then make them racing modifications for the standard cars, rather than having them as standalone prize cars or special models.
