With the release of Gran Turismo 7 around the corner (I skipped GT Sport), this is my tribute to the last real entry (not the best) in the series. Let's not forget this is the title of the 20th anniversary and the one that marked the beginning of the VISION series.

Acerca de la serie de videos de GT6...
Con el estreno de Gran Turismo 7 a la vuelta de la esquina (me salté GT Sport), éste es mi tributo a la última entrada real (no la mejor) en la serie. No olvidemos que éste fue el título del 20 aniversario y el que marcó el inicio de la serie VISION.

Chrysler / 300C '05

Winner of the prestigious North American Car of the Year award in 2005, the Chrysler 300 was one of those very rare cars that carried over all of its interesting looks and details from the concept show car directly to the production model.

Produced on the same LX platform as the Dodge Magnum, Challenger, and Charger models, the 300 initially came in four trim levels: the base 300, 300 Touring, 300 Limited, and 300C. The base car was powered by a 187 HP 2.7-liter DOHC V6, while the Touring and Limited models possessed a larger 247 HP 3.5-liter DOHC V6. The performance-oriented 300C sported a potent 5.7-liter OHV Hemi V8, which was not only powerful, it was also economical, thanks to its fuel-saving and emission-reducing cylinder deactivation technology. In low-load operations such as steady-state cruise, the engine would operate on only 4 cylinders instead of the full complement of 8. Then, slightly after the 300's introduction came the ultimate 300, the 6.1-liter Hemi V8-powered SRT8.

A respectably-sized vehicle at 196.8 inches long and 74.0 inches wide, the 300's front fascia and overall design somewhat resembled that of the high-dollar Bentley Arnage from England. The car was also known for its robust build quality as many of its major components were shared with the Mercedes-Benz E-Class of the day, the benefactor of the Daimler-Chrysler merger.

Ganador del prestigioso premio al Auto del Año de América del Norte en 2005, el Chrysler 300 fue uno de esos autos muy raros que transmitió todos sus aspectos y detalles interesantes desde el prototipo de auto directamente al modelo de producción.

Producido en la misma plataforma LX que los modelos Dodge Magnum, Challenger y Charger, el 300 vino inicialmente en cuatro niveles de equipamiento: el 300 base, el 300 Touring, el 300 Limited y el 300C. El automóvil base estaba propulsado por un DOHC V6 de 2.7 litros y 187 HP, mientras que los modelos Touring y Limited poseían un DOHC V6 de 3.5 litros y 247 HP más grande. El 300C orientado al rendimiento lucía un potente OHV Hemi V8 de 5.7 litros, que no solo era potente, sino también económico, gracias a su tecnología de desactivación de cilindros que ahorra combustible y reduce las emisiones. En operaciones de baja carga, como crucero en régimen permanente, el motor funcionaría con sólo 4 cilindros en lugar del complemento completo de 8. Luego, poco después de la introducción del 300, llegó el último 300, el SRT8 con motor Hemi V8 de 6.1 litros.
