I finally got past one of these. Between Spartan and Summer Naoise using their Phalanxes, Jeanne using her ougi, and 2 Dark Carbuncles, I had a lot of damage cuts to give myself cover. Jeanne also provides debuffs and charge bar, and Kumbhira's a natural choice for long fights. Overall, the Spear team does very well for challenge fights.

Note for the 3rd fight, there's this debuff called "The Hills have Eyes" or something, and when that lands you can't heal anymore. So you should use a team that's still in very good shape for that one, even moreso than other Proving Ground fights. The 2nd fight was the toughest for me, so I took my A-team to the 2nd and 3rd fights.

As for the 1st fight, you can pretty much breeze through so long as you mind the "After Party" attacks. (triggers at 50 and 25, and might go off during Overdrive) Feel free to try Paralysis after 50%!
