Roman: That's my cousin, Niko.
Niko: Yes it is, Roman. You're right.
Roman: So what's happening in your world at the moment? Met anybody interesting recently?
Niko: Other than the community leader and drug dealer that Mallorie introduced me to... neither of whom are doing too good no more, yeah, I guess I have met some interesting people.
Roman: Please tell me you are talking about twins and bleached blond hair and D-cup titties. You're a wild man, NB.
Niko: I'm afraid I haven't met these women of your dreams, Roman. No, I was referring to a Deputy Police Commissioner called Francis McReary, an Irish hood called Packie, an African American drug dealer who calls himself Playboy X, some outlaw biker guy named Johnny, and a doctor who buys dead bodies so he can sell the organs. If you're losing money at the tables you might be able to sell some body parts to him for a quick buck.
Roman: How much does a kidney go for nowadays? I'm kidding, NB, kidding. Sounds like you are having a crazy time. Talk to you soon.
Dialogue going to cabaret club:
Roman: Avoid it as long as you can, cousin. That's my advice to you.
Niko: Avoid what?
Roman: The old ball and chain, the chastity belt they call a serious relationship. I love Mallorie but come on. A man has his urges. It is impossible sometimes.
Niko: But you love her, don't you?
Roman: She's the love of my life, the woman of my dreams... she's amazing. It's just tough. Maybe it'd be easy if I was not an attractive man, but, sadly, I was not blessed with plain features. No matter where I go, the ladies love me. It's that Bellic blood. They can't resist, can they?
Niko: Maybe you have different Bellic blood than me.
Roman: If women weren't throwing themselves at me, life would be easier. They make this hard for me, if only I was unattractive. I guess it's stupid to wish for the impossible. I'll just have to learn to live with the temptation.
Niko: Good luck with that, Roman.
Perestroika is a Russian owned cabaret club in the Hove Beach, Broker in Grand Theft Auto IV, once owned by the late Mikhail Faustin.
Description
The comedy acts there are much poorer in humor than those of Split Sides Comedy Club, though there are some interesting acts. Like the Split Sides, Niko Bellic can watch shows in the club on his own, on a date, or as an activity with a friend.
Design
The club's interior includes various rooms that serve several purposes in-game. The main feature of the club is its dining area, bar and open space (presumably used as a dance floor) fronted by a stage, where the club's acts are performed. The backstage of the club is accessible from a door to the left of the stage, connecting to the performer's dressing room, a QUB3D video arcade game, and a backlot of the club which leads up to the club's roof, where a hidden gun can be found. A cloakroom is also included between the main entrance and the main room of the club.
Perestroika's shows are triggered from within the club itself; the player must first enter the club and locate the marked checkpoint to the right, where the player is intended to be seated.
Influence
The club's exterior design is largely based on the Millenium Atlantic Oceana in Brooklyn.
"Perestroika" ("Перестройка") means "restructuring" when translated from Russian. The term is commonly used to refer to the economic reforms implemented by Soviet Union leader Mikhail Gorbachev during the 1980s which ultimately led to the breakup of the Soviet Union. The naming of the club could be derived from this reform since the clubs owner, Mikhail Faustin, is killed by Niko after being ordered to by Dimitri, who was subordinate to Faustin.
Dusty Cowpoke is a performance artist who jumps and rolls around mimicking the movements of a cowboy in a shootout, and uses his hands that acts like a Revolver. The theme of this show takes place in a western-style desert with a classical country music. The audience disliked his performance, most likely because his entertainment is much less appealing. His performance can be seem in the Perestroika cabaret.
He is voiced by Matt Williams.
