Grand Theft Auto V Benchmark 4K Max (RTX3090)
Returning to this popular title with an RTX3090 I am curious to see if the FPS is increased or if we're still CPU-bound. Turns out I'm seeing quite a significant jump in performance.
Benchmarking one of the most well-known open-world games, it's Grand Theft Auto V. This time, you're in Los Santos; an LA-replica including many various landmarks and regions around the city. Haven't played a GTA title in some time but the open world scale in this game is beautiful!
The benchmark showcases a few of the wider vistas of the game along with points of interest. However it keeps requiring a full reboot of the game through Rockstar's launcher when changes are done which is annoying. While I was getting 30-55 FPS (mostly 50-60 when in the story / campaign mode) which is nice to see on my Titan X Pascal, the RTX3090 climbs to 50-110 FPS, nearly doubling previous performance. You'll still need a strong GPU / CPU for 4K max for sure.
Obviously a very adult-themed, strong language game!
