*Graphic Warning* Pyoderma Gangrenosum: How I Treat My Recovering Wounds - 8 Months Later
My fiancé and i debated on the idea of me releasing this sort of video. We were concerned if people would take this as an attention seeking thing. Receiving some sort of backlash from this. I hope not since it's not at all the point of this.
The entire goal of this is to show the bandage change process for a recovering major flare up of Pyoderma Gangrenosum skin ulcer or wound as i will call it. Because people do not fully know or understand this rare disease they don't know what i have to go through. I want to give people some insight on just one aspect of this disease and that's the ongoing process of having to do these bandage changes on a very regular basis.
FYI I absolutely would never say that my condition is worse than others. I've seen people with Pyoderma with worse wounds than myself. I've also seen patients with significantly smaller/lesser wounds. This disease affects everyone very differently. I'm sure the bandage change process is different for others. I've even seen people be put in hyperbolic chambers for treatments or even wound vacs. But the doctors have not recommended those forms of treatments for me. Opting for what i am showing for this video. I was suppose to go in for grafting as many of my doctors recommended it for me to speed up the recovery time. I said no as i was very concerned with the possibility of the grafting causing a new spike in Pyoderma ulcers on my body.
