In this part, Ryunosuke cross-examines Gina. She claims she was the first one in the carriage, and she hid under the seat. Once Mr. Gilded sat down, she was not able to move or see anything. She screamed when she heard the victim fall down. She was finally able to peek out, when Mr. Gilded got up to move the victim.

After Ryunosuke presses every statement, the third statement changes slightly. This starts a conversation about hearing things in the dark. Gina claims she heard nothing after Mr. Gilded sat down, which is impossible. She should have heard the victim enter the carriage.

Van Zieks believes the witness is lying, and the jury gets mad. Ryunosuke is forced to argue that the witness is telling the truth, when she says the victim did not enter through the door.
