Great discovery from scientists: The world's largest crater has been found

Two experts Andrew Filkson and Tony Yeates,

was the 299 km wide Vredefort impact crater in South Africa.

At about 520 km wide, the crater is 161 km larger than the structure previously, considered the largest in the world

It is estimated by scientists that the structure was formed about 445, million years ago in the period known as the Late Ordovician
