Griffin technology has been a top player in the "iDevice" market since the release of the ipod, so its easy to understand that over the years with the release of each new device, Griffin has brought to the table a significant amount of experience over the years. This experience and attention to detail is very evident in the Survivor line of iPad cases. Durable, as well as, useable without being overly cumbersome the rubberized covering of the case provides a surface in contrast to that of the slick and slippery iPad.
Griffin advertises this case as water resistant, shock absorbent and shatter proof. I can say that I have put this case through a gauntlet and was not disappointed. At a price point of 80USD some might think that this case is on the expensive side, but protecting your shiny new iDevice is certainly worth it.
