The Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 is the successor to last years Galaxy Tab 10.1. It sports a 10-inch, 1280 x 800 PLS display, dual-core 1GHz chip, 1GB of RAM and a minimum of 16GB of internal storage, plus you get 50GB of drop box storage for a year. A 2-megapixel camera front facing camera and a 3 megapixel camera with LED Flash. On the top is where you'll find the power / lock button, volume rocker, microSD slot, 3.5mm headphone jack and an IR blaster to us with your Preinstalled Peel app ( looks like Samsung is adding this to every tablet). Samsung made the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 slightly heavier and thicker (1.29 pounds / .41 inches thick vs. 1.25 pounds / .33 inches). You Have there's the same proprietary charging connector on the bottom landscape edge, while the two portrait sides are both devoid of ports and buttons. Though the speakers for the tablet are now on the side front panel of the device with a thick grey metal finish and thicker bezel.

Android 4.0 goes along way to ensure, this device runs smoothly and TouchWiz here is also smooth and generally unobtrusive. Like the Galaxy Tab 2 7.0, Samsung has also added an ir sensor to the device. Giving it an extra element that adds more productivity to the tablet. In terms of gaming I am a bit disappointed here with the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1, the lack of a quad-core processor here, really limits the gaming potential for the tablet. Though it runs most games fine, just with out the fluidity you would expect.

Don't get me wrong I like the Samsung galaxy Tab 2 10.1, I like the improvements, but there really isn't a wow factor to the tablet as it compares to its predecessor. I think Samsung went the safe route here, which isn't a bad thing in releasing a tablet that is solid, smooth and fully functioning with out hiccups. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 won/t whoa you in many ways but will provide you with dependable functionality
