Grim Dawn: Rolling Into the Game
25This is just for those new players who just like to play around and not necessarily spend time planning some specific build. The audio and tiny word issues only last until the 4th episode: they will be fixed by the 5th.
Summarizing my build in this episode: I set three rules in stone for this build before starting out. The first was Soldier/Arcanist. The second was being a melee character. The third was using a shield. I chose Soldier first and put points into Forcewave to make the start easier. Forcewave offers a stun, which Panetti's Replicating Missile doesn't offer. Cadence doesn't hit multiple targets, and thus is not a skill anyone should grab first. At the end of the episode I switch my points out of Forcewave into Panetti's Replicating Missile for three reasons: first, Panetti's Replicating Missile has a longer range, hits multiple targets in later stages of the game, and fits the theme I'm going for in this build (elemental damage). Constellation-wise, I chose to go into the Turtle first so I can get the highly-useful Turtle Shell passive, which really helps a lot with surviving the early/mid game. Regardless of where I take my build in the future, I know I'll be armed with a shield, so the Turtle Shell will always be relevant.
