GSBD: Burning Clouds of Sand (Strike Dagger, No Respawn, S Rank)
0The sixth mission in the Earth Alliance '71' story path and a rather easy one if your are just looking to clear it though S ranking it requires you to go a bit out of the way.
Start by clearing out the first wave of enemies as you encounter them, using predictive aim (hold the fire button) to hit airborne targets, when the boss spawns in get a little distance between you and him so he targets Kira before clearing out the BuCUE he comes with to increase the time Kira can delay the boss by before heading over to the Duel (AS) depending on the suit you are using a Single Hyper Mode might not be enough to take him down so fight defensively and try and keep the fight away from the other two enemies as they seem to have shorter than normal aggro ranges, once done with the Duel you can move in and aggro the Buster before luring it away from the land battleship depending on how much meter you have you might need to fight the Buster without Hyper mode for a bit if that is the case you need to have your shield up when not attacking, focus on not a dash attack for a quite knock down into a couple of hits before backing off and getting your shield up to block the retaliation beam, when you get the meter for hyper mode you can start going all out on him before moving on to the last non-target enemy, once that is clear move towards the LaGOWE though be carful once you get to around 500 range as it has a forward charge into beam attack that inflicts heavy damage so keep your shield up until you get a chance to close in before unleashing Hyper mode to take it out and finish the mission.
By this point you will have the option of the 105 (Striker Packs) which gives a huge number of options on how to deal with enemies, the Aile Pack has the dependable versatility with the addition of extra mobility for getting around, the Launcher Pack gives high damage options and can be a good way to spend meter if you need high damage while the Sword pack works well at taking out large non-MS targets with it's melee swings and has a powerful boost melee attack.
it should go without saying only keep using the Strike Dagger at this point if you really like the suit or are doing some sort of challenge run.
