This week's Daily race is at The Glen, and in order to come up with a strategy, before I even touch the asphalt, I watch how various simracers across Youtube tackle this race to formulate the right one.

I was not able to put up a good laptime in practice, but I found that sticking with the Citroen and opting not to change the tyres in the pits would be the way to go. The Citroen is about 1 second off of the pace, but I would still finish with a better overall time in the race due to the fact that the tyres survive during the entirety of the race.

My pace was bad, but my strategy was enough to challenge some of the lower split A+ ranked drivers. This was just enough to finish in the top 5 regularly if I didn't make too many mistakes, and my best result at P4 starting P6 on the grid was satisfactory.

I have never been in A rank for either GT Sport or GT7. I never had the time to put in the work it takes to get there. So this was an amazing feeling-getting into that top 1.5% of drivers in the world. I know I don't have the pace to be an A+ rank driver with the beginner level wheel that I have in the Logitech G923, but I've always known that I have what it takes to be an A rank driver, and when I do get a Fanatec DD wheel, I know that I'll have 4 tenths in my pocket to make me a solid A rank driver. A rank is where I belong.
