GTA LCS Tips and Tricks: Marked Vehicles Tutorial and Information (PSP Only)
In this Video, I show how the "Marked Virus" works and explain what Marked Vehicles are.
This only works on PSP. This does not work on PS2. This does not work on Mobile.
You need either the Unique/BP/FP/PP Avenger given to you from completing Avenging Angels in Portland to Level 15 OR the H/BP/FP/PP/TP/EC/PC Landstalker given to you from completing See the Sight Before Your Flight 12 times in order to be able to accomplish this! Without either Vehicle in your Garage to give the Garage the "Marked Virus," this wouldn't be possible!
Alternatively, if you have ANY Save with the Marked Virus already present and load it up, then load up a Save in which doesn't have the Marked Virus, the Garages will become Marked EVEN WITHOUT the Avenger or Landstalker!
To mark a Vehicle, just have the Avenger or Landstalker in the Garage and then put other Vehicles inside while opening and closing it a bunch of times (ten of more times is beneficial to mark all four slots in each Garage). Eventually, all the Slots will be given this Marked Virus and every Vehicle put into such slots will be Marked!
Note that on PS2 and Mobile, the Avenger and Landstalker are indeed Marked, but you can't mark OTHER Vehicles like you can on PSP using them!
A Marked Vehicle is one that remains on the Map anywhere you put it, even if you touch a whole bunch of other Vehicles in the process! You'll also be able to teleport into them when both sides of the Vehicle's doors are blocked off!
If a Vehicle is marked, however, and you want an NPC interested in it, you'll have to unmark it! The only way to do that is basically the Firefighter PP Conversion. Enter your Marked Vehicle, go to the Firetruck, enter the Firetruck and hold the Up Button, exit the Firetruck and enter your Marked Vehicle, and now release the Up Button. This unmarks your Vehicle. You will need to do this annoying task for DP Bike Conversions and maybe other stuff, as well!
The Marked Virus on a Garage also can come in handy with certain Special Vehicles on PSP Only! What I mean by this is if you were on PS2 or Mobile and put certain Special Vehicles from Missions in your Garage and then checked after the Mission was passed, you'd notice it disappears 100% of the time. Though, if the Garage is infected by this Virus and you store a Vehicle from a Mission while the Mission is still on going, it'll save and remain there after you pass it! You also NEED a Marked Toyz in your Garage to obtain the PSP Only AP Toyz, as well, hence why it's PSP Only.
Be careful, though! Some Special Vehicles in which are a WRECK from a Mission pushed into the Garage while it's still on going WILL VANISH EVERY SINGLE TIME if NOT all four Slots are marked! The Garage and all four Slots have to be marked in order for it to restore! So for instance, if you want to obtain the H/EP Speeder with PASSING the Mission on PSP, you can, but there is only ONE WAY and your entire Staunton Island Garage and all four slots must be infected!
By doing this with a whole bunch of traffic Vehicles (ten or more), you'll overload the game and it'll become a Ghost Town, basically. When this happens, you can try obtaining the TP/NE Taxi from Firefighter, which, imo, is only possible on PSP because of less traffic/peds in the game world to begin with compared to PS2 and/or THIS Virus to force nothing to spawn!
Also, this is how the PSP Players who bite off more than they can chew play the game, as well. While going to 100%, you can extract up to 12 total Special Vehicles WHILE IN PORTLAND and just give each one the Marked Virus, and have them outside of your Garage whilst completing the game and unlocking the Staunton Island and Shoreside Vale Garages. You can mark all three Garages by doing the same exact thing I shown in the Video.
Now, if you played on PS2 or Mobile, you wouldn't be able to do this and at best could only have one Vehicle in memory while you leave Portland and four inside the actual Garage.
