Guide To Crafting Bows For Fire Elemental Hit Builds - Budget 5 exalts - Path of Exile
111Step 1 - Source a Solarine Bow. Ideally ilvl 86. Typically this is 20-80c. Raise its quality via cheap means.
Step 2 - Six link it. Averages 1000 fusings at 20 quality, 875 at 30 quality.
Step 3 - 'Split Beast' it (may as well get two bows for the price of one)
Step 4 (OPTIONAL) - Apply a Crusader's Exalted Orb. This adds some really powerful mods to the pool that have a very very slim chance of being rolled. Shaper influence is also good, but will cost you an Awakener's Orb
Step 5 - Use Metallic, Jagged and Corroded fossils. This combination 'bans' almost all mods from rolling. Chance to hit the two most important prefixes (+1 all socketed gems, +2 socketed bow gems) simultaneously is about 25%, although I have some quite bad luck in this video.
At a much higher budget you can also add Faceted fossils (in a 4 socket resonator) for the highest possible chance of hitting the extremely good Crusader mods. Both the Crusader 'Chain' and 'Fork' mods are 'gem' tagged. This increases the cost per attempt by about a factor of 30 and the trading involved a lot as well, so it's no small decision. Think of this option as a low EV gamble.
Step 6 (OPTIONAL) - Use Harvest crafts to further improve your item. This can get expensive.
