GUIDED MEDITATION: HOW TO STEP OUT OF YOUR COMFORT ZONE
Welcome to this 10 minute guided meditation. Today we are going to be focusing on how to step out of your comfort zone. Get in a meditation pose. Your current state is usually your comfort zone. It starts to feel very safe and very secure. Your guards are down. You don't worry a whole lot about it. It becomes very routine to you. It works for you. That's why it's so easy to slip into a comfort zone, and stay in a comfort zone.
If you're not motivated to leave your comfort zone, you will stay there. The fact that you are focusing on stepping out of your comfort zone, let's you know that there is some incentive. It could be that everyone around you is starting to move on. The world is shifting beneath your feet. You may not want to challenge yourself, but you NEED to challenge yourself.
What area of your life do you feel sedentary in? What area of your life do you feel like you're at the bottom, and everyone else is advancing? That is the area that is changing. So many things around you have changed that you have no choice but to step out of that comfort zone. It is time for you to take that step outside of your comfort zone.
Why have you shut down the possibility of moving on to that next level? Your environment starts to change. That environment will completely change if everyone around you leaves. You don't want to be the last one out. It's time for you to devise a plan. I want you to surround yourself with people who used to be where you are. Visualize friction. Visualize yourself extending a hand. Visualize yourself stepping up and out of that comfort zone. Who are those people that can help you? Now focus on these words. "I am ready, and it is time." It's time for you to go. It's time for you to to step out of that comfort zone. Now you go and step out of that comfort zone. Your 10 minute guided meditation mission is complete.

HOW TO MEDITATE
You can meditate anywhere, but the most ideal place to meditate is sitting on the floor, with your back straight. You may want to sit on pillow or mat, for comfort. You can meditate with your eyes open or closed, but I like to meditate with my eyes closed. Be sure to have a clock handy, set it, then meditation can begin. Some like to focus on a word or phrase. If you start to lose your train of thought, focus on your breathing to prevent distractions. Another technique is to play nature sounds in the background, such as running water, to help bring calm in your space.
