Hi there,
And welcome to “Guild Wars 2 - Guide to the Galaxy.” An interactive guide to all things Guild Wars. This guide will be split up into multiple videos for you to use to save you the hassle of sitting through hours of footage. We will also try to keep this guide up to date by remaking sections of the guide and relinking them as the world of Tyria changes, through Updates, patches, the Living story and Expansions.
On the left side of your screen you’ll see various buttons to press that will take you to each section of the guide, therefore giving you the opportunity to quickly grab the information you need.
In the description of each video will be a link that will Return to this index video for easy navigation, alternatively you can just watch each video in sequence in this playlist. The Chose is you’re my friend.

I’m now going to cover something that really doesn’t constitute its own video and that is, the Why, Where and when to get a copy of GW2, if you haven’t already.

Firstly, Why: Because Guild Wars 2 is free-to-play, despite what you may have heard. Now naturally there are some limitation within the game for Free-to-play players. But having said that I’m more than sure that once you see the character creation screen you will be saying “Shut up and take my money”.
Second Point, Where: Links are in the description. I’ve given a link to the Free-to-play version and the Heart of Thorns expansion. So go check that out, and no I’m not getting any third party advertising money for this… I’m just a Guild wars fan!
Final point, When: Now! Guild Wars 2 has a strong team of developers behind it who are not afraid to go to the extremes of destroying an entire map or major city, we have already seen this on a number of occasions since launch. The game today is almost completely different to what it was when it launched. All due to the Living Story, a season full of events and additional content for you to enjoy TOTALLY FREE. During these events we have seen large scale world events that have permanently changed areas. Bosses that are unique to the story but only available during the short time of that chapter. What’s even better is that if you are playing the game while the living story is active it will be permanently unlocked on your account, miss it and you’ll have to put your hand in your pocket to buy it from the in-game gems store. So don’t wait, if you’re unsure go Free-to-Play and test the waters first, you’ve got nothing to lose!

Don’t forget Guild Wars 1, which is still available via steam or the guild wars website, links are I the description, I know what you’re thinking “Why go back and play that game?”, because by completing achievements in Guild wars 1 you gain yourself achievement points in Guild wars 2 and unlock access to some pretty awesome Armour and Weapon skins, minipets and titles to use as you wish totally free of charge!
