Most of the videos I found of Guild Wars 2 running via WINE don't show much action and most of them only show the beginning areas of the game. In this video I'm doing a daily fractal run where the action is a bit intense and it reflects how the game performs in such circumstances.

The in-game graphics settings are shown at the beginning, as well as at the end of the video. I found those to be a good balance between quality and performance. Frame Rate depends on the situation, normally between 40's-70's (mine is capped at 60).

Disclaimer: You don't need such a powerful system to get this performance though, only listing for information purposes. An i5 or Ryzen 1400 with 8GB ram and GTX 760 are also enough.

My System Specs:

Linux Mint 18.1 / Kernel 4.14.8-Generic
**Ryzen 7 1700X (not OC'ed)
16GB Ram @ 2800MHZ
GTX 1060 6GB / Nvidia Driver 384.98

**Running the game across all 16 threads on Ryzen 8 Core CPU's presents a small FPS loss. For optimal performance run the game using the "taskset -c 0-7" command.

For Nvidia GPU users, Wine-Staging 2.0 is a must as this version currenly offers the best performance. As for AMD it's a different situation, with a modern WINE version with Gallium-Nine support it outperforms Nvidia in this game.

No Winetricks needed, Game is launched with the "-dx9single" argument for better performance.

Registry Settings:

REGEDIT4

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Wine\Direct3D]
"CSMT"="enabled"
"DirectDrawRenderer"="opengl"
"PixelShaderMode"="enabled"
"StrictDrawOrdering"="disabled"
"UseGLSL"="disabled"
"VertexShaderMode"="hardware"
"VideoMemorySize"="6144M"

Aside from the difference in performance (compared to Windows), the game is very stable and playable.
