1. In Guild Wars 2 and any other MMO the developers must choose between the virtues of Convenience and Immersion. Theme park genre MMOs tend to go for convenience while Sandbox MMOs tend to go for immersion, but is it possible to have both?

2. Balance is important but much more difficult to identify because of the wide audiences that are involved in gaming. For example, do we assert balance suggestions for a competitive player base or a casual one? Necromancer seems like a strong class in gold tier, but is actually very difficult to play in higher tiers. Similarly, there are multiple PvP game modes such as ranked, stronghold, or automated tournaments. Some classes can be stronger in one than the other, but they all use the same balance. Which one do we prioritize?
