I was lucky enough, on the last stress beta (10th August), to watch this baddie up and running. There's a lot of videos showing the event so I went into a more "showcase" type of video without UI or anything. Nevertheless I still tried to make myself useful attacking things =P Basically you had to destroy the portals and the shadows every time they were summoned. Then, with the Shadow Behemoth vulnerable, you had to down him quite hard, as hard as you can because it's an open window to damage him.
This is probably the closest you will get from, say, a raid boss.
