This was the full play session of the game today. I think this better illustrates the brutality of the game, then a description, so Ive been posting some of these when I play the game. Its been very on and off but I made great progress in this session, and am near beating the game. Getting my positioning right on the stage 9 boss is pretty brutal, but Ive done it in practice , so it will eventually go through in a full attempt. This video shows how I practice sections with save states as well as my progression and many deaths in the process. The first checkpoint shown has taken me a long time to finally beat, but I cleared it within a few minutes today. I decided to ignore all the power up barrels and focus on surviving and fighting off the enemies for that checkpoint, and it worked well. Once I complete this project I will have a tutorial up with commentary and the full run in a single video. I was able to pull off perfect positioning for an instant kill on the stage 8 boss luckily.
