Power DH is currently one of the most versatile dps classes in WvW organized squad play. It has ranged spike, melee cleave, blocks, pulls, leaps, and invuln. It really is a class that has it all in terms of raw dps. A bit overtuned currently, it's why I can't wait to see the balance patch because I'd like to see more classes utilized.
I mostly use the Greatsword + Scepter/Torch build, however I do swap to Staff + Scepter/Torch in rare 50 vs 50 open field blob fights. AR doesn't do 50 vs 50 often, the guilds I run with rarely run over 20-25 in the squad. But it's useful to have the Staff setup in your build template in case you do get into blob pirateship fights.
Dragonhunter is very support dependent, often you get two good DH's in the squad, the one that tops dps is the one that receives the best support. I couldn't do half of what I do in these videos without clutch support players. Having good support is essential to unleashing the potentials of Dragonhunters.
Many DH skills have low cooldowns. 6 sec GS 2 cleave that does damage rivaling Reaper's Soul Spiral. 8 sec Symbol and Holy Strike. 20 sec traps that do damage rivaling necro Wells. 3 charges of Sword of Justice to layer more damage. When stacked properly DH's can apply a lot of pressure to enemy squads.
